Preseason 15-ish some polls. Is five contributing players transferring normal for college hoops these days? Seems excessive to me but I don’t follow it hardcore like some. For obvious reasons. It’s hard to follow the teams when guys just bounce. No more Scalabrine’s or Tyler Honeycutt’s, guys who stay at least three years. Maybe not the greatest of all times but they left their marks and did well. Now a guy has a good season and if he doesn’t go pro, it’s off the transfer portal. Turnover in hoops is unreal. Need a game program to know who is wearing what number and where they came from. Ridiculous. Much worse then football.
I get your point, but UCLA does return a number of players from last year, Tyler Bilodeau, Dailey Jr, Trent Perry, Eric Freeny, Sky Clark and B Williams that I can recall. They had a couple guys transfer out and a few incoming from the portal but for the most part players seem to stick around a few years for Cronin.
