KeymasterHahaha what a story he is. He showed out early and then got buried. I think USC has some freshmen but wow they suddenly got thin in a hurry. They have king and Jackson. Thunder and lightning. And not sure if anyone can play after that.
im sure sanders and Jordan started for a reason. Pass blocking. Receiving skills. This is a huge miss and I wonder how long we are looking for

ParticipantSanders is a knee injury, he is done. Jordan with an ankle injury and who knows with that. We have seen high ankle sprains that linger for months. After Jackson and King, we have Dalton. But Dalton is nursing injuries too. He wasn’t even dressed last night. Bama made a hard push for Dalton, he is really good but was a QB in HS. Wormley is rehabbing a HS knee injury. Guess we see fly sweeps to Lemon and Hines. Definitely a major setback. We won’t see the OL open those big holes we have seen recently when we play ND or Oregon

KeymasterHalfway through the season and the RB room is gone. That’s a disaster.

ParticipantLet’s see how it impacts Maiava. Our running game has been stellar and took the heat off the QB. Potentially a disastrous event.

KeymasterThere’s a reason why he was 3rd string. Blocking. Receiving. Ball security.

ParticipantI dunno – Miller has impressing in practice and scout team last year. Beyond that I don’t much about the others. Wildcard is the frosh Dalton, 4 star recruit out of Virginia who was a QB in HS. Doubt he’s ready but he impressed Riley and Anthony Jones. Riley even said he was the most all around physically gifted back in the room – that’s saying something. Don’t get me wrong, losing Sanders and esp. Jordan is a big loss. Let’s hope King stays healthy.

ParticipantThe secret sauce of college football is the mystery of what new college player will emerge as a star.A vague memory from my childhood for me is a Rose Bowl where our starting superstar RB was unable to play due to injury. A guy I never heard of, true freshman Charles White came off the bench to become a hero. Ricky Bell couldn’t go that day.
Like every USC team before them, this squad has a chance to go to Drycock, Indiana and do something special. We haven’t won there since 2011, we are due. I don’t get the vibe this team or staff is the one but I’m still hoping.

KeymasterThe hope is when injuries start to take their toll it’s late enough in the season that the backups have gotten enough practice reps that they aren’t august greenhorns anymore. Hopefully all those reps have brought them to the point of being able to contribute
