Mosleys td. First remember that the first play was a pass to miller out of the backfield.  Little Dump over the line and he fell forward for a yard.  6 yard gain. Left side.  This is key. 2nd and 4.

obvious running down right?  USC was awful against whiskey and wants to establish the run   Osu knows this   Miller lined up next to Maiava and two tight ends   Ashcroft on the left

count the guys on the line for Ohio THE state   6   Rmembwr how angry you were on 4th down when whiskey had bunch left and USC only had two defenders to combat 4 whiskey receivers?

USC has Mosley slot   Bowman is the 3 and Dixon Wyatt is the 1.  Wide right.  And only two osu defenders.  With those receivers I like that match up

meanwhile look at osu   They are playing 1 high   That means the safety is deep middle and they only have one guy deep   They’ve likely got their nickel or the other safety in run support and all LB on the line   Point is they have two guys on 3 to the USC right a safety high and two guys in the LB area who are probably DBs looking at either Ashcroft or miller

      what happens next is genius

Now we look at the next slide.  And don’t need a 3rd because this tells us all we need to know.

Dixon Wyatt takes his man to the outside   Bowman finds that free safety on the inside and seals him off   They knew where Mosley was going before he caught it   Trent this time didn’t make a decision   He knew

Look above though   77 I think is Noa   He’s pulling left number 2 the left DE of Ohio state reads this and chases   So does  and this is theKEY  so does the guy playing MLB who is likely the nickel   See him chasing to the top?  This means he vacates the middle

and of course he does  because USC loves that little pulling guard trap run   Miller is set up for the handoff left   Ashcroft is blocking inside for a run and it’s 2nd and 4   So the nickel and 2 DE   Both guys who can stop what’s coming next   Just got suckered    They’re chasing miller and gonna Wisconsin the usc run game and set the f ing tone  off they go

this leaves Jaylin McClain  playing single high safety to cover the entire middle of the field  like hash mark to hash mark  from about 3-4 yards deep to the end zone

the goal is to get the ball to Mosley   Have him run inside the seam created by bowman and Dixon Wyatt on the right   And on the left created by the DE and nickel chasing miller   And then saying to Mosley “can you avoid number 8?”   The goal was to beat 8   Just run where he’s not and see how long it takes him or anyone else to catch up    Turns out the answer was 69 yards

Mc clain also became famous by being hurdled later in the game by Bowman

My point here is to show how USC showed run   Osu knew they’d want to run and usc tried and did get Mosley isolated on 4  and felt that with his speed and ability to run to open space they could break something big   I assumed they thought they could get 15-20 out of it and be at midfield   Good start in 2 plays  but clearly everything went right

and that is why Lincoln Riley is brilliant   The blocking was ok  everyone just did their jobs   The pull was normal  the guards do it  all the time  Maiava made a really nifty quick sidearm throw which was the most athletic part of the play  and Mosley caught the ball and ran straight ahead for 70   It worked because Riley knew what to use   When to use it

Everyone runs this play, dummy. tOSU screwed up the coverage with arrogance. Mosley is elite and Day and his dummies thought they could go head to head. Stubbornness kills. It’s the same reason why Riley is failing too.

It’s a matter of when you chose to run it.  Situation and look the D gives you.

as usual you show why you’re the board laughingstock

OK, let’s say Riley is BRILLIANT.  Let’s give him all the credit for the Mosley and the Bowman plays. What happened on the other 47 plays? Are you saying he’s 4% brilliant and 96% arrogant to a fault or even stupid?

        If so, I agree.

No. Bowman hurdled McClain and then dragged 3 guys downfield.

did I illustrated the bowman play as Riley brilliance?  I’m sorry. Where did I use that?  There are other plays sure

but idiots like you want to b and moan every time a coach doesn’t fill your Christmas stocking with goodies. But give him zero credit when he does

there were 50 other plays on offense. USC scored on 6 of them.

not every play is a masterpiece or works.  But when you get mismatches and take advantage like this play?  Then you get a tremendous physical play like bowman.  Then you get a 44 yard punt return to set up another td?   Yeah.  I think it all adds up

for years you and others have said usc  has all the talent and all the coaches failed to use it.  Sark kiff Helton Riley.  Well guess what?  Ohio state?  Had more.  USC faced a roster with MOrE 5 stars.  MORE 4 stars.  Deeper bench.  More NIL

so tell me.  If usc faced a higher ranked team.  With more talent.  More money. More experience and a coach with a national championship in his pocket.  And in an empty stadium with what did you say?  Gooks and sand nigs?  So if they had no support. No stadium energy. Bad weather inferior talent. Less depth less money and a dead program?  How do YOU explain it other than coaching?

ohio THE state had every single advantage Saturday night and usc was better prepared.  Better motivated to play.  Oh. Back up qb?  Here’s an idea. Coach your team to protect yours. Keep him on his feet and don’t run him.  That’s what usc has done
