KeymasterIf Illinois is missing those DB. If they are there 35-28.
I think neither team really stops the other but I think USC will get enough defensive pressure to cause a turnover, resulting in seven free points for the Trojans. Otherwise it’s a 35 28 game. I think the USC offense can mix it up and score it well. Obviously, you can’t account for turnovers. I think the whole team needs to control their penalties, especially on the road or this thing could go sideways
Opening Dr., Jordan fumbles I think that’s his second this year. I think USC has three or four fumbles this year and that is starting to turn into a problem. Obviously not the start they were hoping for

KeymasterRight on time. A fumble by Jordan and a facemask by the db. Illinois ready for the red zone
Illinois ability to run early poses a problem for usc as we know their qb can throw

KeymasterBig move to get Hines involves. Very fast. Talented. Young. And if lane is going to drag and be hurt USC needs someone to step up.
so that’s a big move

KeymasterSo far the lack of USC pressure is a major concern. And Illinois is also running

KeymasterAs expected the teams are running up and down the field on each other. As not expected. USC is getting no pressure and not stopping the run
and the turnover battle favors Illinois and thus the tilt of the game toward them so far

Keymasterevery time USC is out of this game. They climb within seven and then they can’t get pressure on the Illinois quarterback or when they bring pressure from the secondary it’s exploited. The failure of the USC defensive line is really the story of this game.

Keymasterboy I can’t believe all those fourth Down conversions on that drive. And after all of that, I am further surprised that they went for two. Why would you do that? Because you don’t like your chances on the road in overtime?
And if so, why go for it now? Is it to take the pressure off later?

KeymasterI’m quite surprised on this final drive that they keep throwing. Especially early in the down sequence.

KeymasterI think if I am Illinois, I called timeout with two minutes and one or two seconds on the clock. That forces the clock to stop and then the next play stops the clock again. Maybe it’s too early and USC has too many yards to go and can still waste too much time.
