Keymaster#1 would be to get JDP into the lineup and batting leadoff. I’ve never liked having power in the 1 slot. Think it’s intellectually lazy for managers to do that.
To make room for him, trade Teoscar. Ryan Tucker cane on end of year and was solid in playoffs. And his contract can’t be moved. Teo has value and isn’t overpriced.
Move Alex Call-just a spare OF and they have youth at AAA that needs to come up. That frees a spot. Probably needs to be a righty.
No new contracts for Miggy and Kike, Been amazing, but they have value as long as they show up in October and LA wins WS. They didn’t and now they are .200 hitters who are clogging up the pipeline.
Trade Muncy or platoon him at 3B.
Give 2B job to Kim. If not trade him and save the salary. I think he and JDP at the top of the lineup would be wicked.
3-4-5-6 spots in the order would be Mookie, Freddie, Shohei, Will Pages, and Tucker (who can bat 2 if Mookie can’t) Dodgers still have a ton of options but they have to get younger. Thus my moves at 3B and LF
Will Smith has to catch less. Bad break that he and Rushing both got hurt. But giving a 10 year deal to a 29 year old C was sus and I think Will will probably be effective for half that deal. Which means 2 more years. After that they’ll pay him to be a backup or play for someone else.
Rotation will be Roki, Snell, Glasnow, Yamamoto, Ohtani (he’s stubborn about Pitching) with Sheehan and Wrobo as fillers. Won’t retain Skubal.
Diaz will return to form as Scott did. Henrique, Dryer, Casperius Vesia Phillips will all fill in the pen as they have. No major moves. Treinan’s Dodger career is over. Phillips may be too and I think Brock Stewart is done. No idea about Wil Klein but he’s a sentimental fave.
I have not seen any top shelf young arms beyond Roki that they think can be starters.
Most of what I have written is to get younger, not necessarily cheaper, but probably goes with that.
They won’t reinvent the wheel or overhaul the roster, but over a 2-3 year period they will also need to come up with the successors to Smith, Freeman, Betts and Muncy. I think Shohei will fade from pitching and become a DH only like Big Papi. That will be another couple years. Their entire starting rotation other than Roki will likely need to be replaced in the next 3 years. Yamamoto’s frame tells me there’s a surgery coming in the not so distant future.

KeymasterLooks like Friedman is thinking the same. On Call, Friedman Gonna make the young guys the LF and the 4th OF. JDP is not a good defender.
We will see what they do with the rest.
