Love to get your expert opinion on the potential dangers of a 300 pound man swinging his strong hand (close fist), with full force and striking an individualās wind pipe. Could that potentially cause a serious injury? What about that same 300 pond man twisting a personās neck with full force while his teammates is also taking a swing at a defenseless victim? I hope they didnāt tear Nicoās neck arteries. Iām seriously recommending an emergency MRI, and MRA and a CTA to Nicoās neck. Letās hope Nico will be able to play football again. Still waiting for Lanning to address this incident. Iām sure that will happen today or tomorrow

ParticipantClearly a personal foul even a possible ejection
I also think it was worse then it looked in sense Bear was trying to hit the ball out of Nicoās hands. Possibly?!
He should have to answer/explain this himself. Maybe it was a throat punch. Maybe. Possible as well -

ParticipantBut the injury that took Iamaleava out of the game was a leg injury; from what he was grabbing as he lay on the field, it looked like a strained quad or something.

ParticipantYep, sure looked like it. We donāt have an official report YET, so weāre not sure. Iām guessing youāre right. Just pointing out the hypocrisy no less than 2 weeks after a separate incident. And letās be clear, the Desmond Stephens incident is in some ways different than this one. Clear evidence Stephens didnāt intend to hurt the QB on the actual play? Same argument made by numerous guys who played the sport at the highest level. It was Stephensā actions after the play that were despicable (I personally think he should be kicked off the team, and I still stand by this). Now, letās look at both Bear and his teammateās (Mixon??) actions. Both future professional athletes, guys who are the most coordinated individuals in the world. How convenient to argue they might have been trying to knock out the ball. Missing their mark by what, 2 feet? And doing that while violently twisting Nicoās neck. Yeah, sure, they werenāt trying to hurt Nico, they were just trying to āknock out the ball.ā Yeah l, right…. now letās circle back and compare the two incidents, as different as they may be. Letās focus on the word INTENT.

Participant…and the Bear had to know it was way too late to think the ball would be in play if he knocked it out of Iamaleava’s hands.

ParticipantGreat point. Nicoās entire body was on the turf when both Bear and Mixon tried to āknock the ball out of his hands.ā š
But in their defense, they did tried ripping Nicoās head off his shoulders prior to him (Nico) lying flat on the ground.

ParticipantWell, then, if they had succeeded Nico’s head would have been in play.
