Williams is very mobile.  His throws are both brilliant and erratic.  I suppose I can see why you don’t think he’s great. Sooooooo.  Why did you sue him or fight so hard to keep him?   Is the idea that he’s young and might grow into a more polished passer?

Is your run game any better with the injured backs or was it still weak then?

Fisch seemed to pull about every trick play out of the book and I think they all worked.

the defense seems solid.  Was it that way in your other games?

Hunter the punter needs about 6 more years of eligibility.  I never get tired of saying that.  I think usc not long ago had a Hunter that was a punter.  And it was a great Joy saying it then too.

It appears I am about the only Husky fan here so here it goes.

“I” didn’t force (sue) DW to stay at UW but as of the end of last season, he still was just a 1st year starter and the thought he would make his biggest improvements between his 2nd and 3rd seasons. He didn’t and it was pretty clear he wasn’t better in game 1. Add that the other QBs are 1st or 2nd year players and the only QB Deboer recruited followed him to Alabama. There is a transfer QB from Stanford (Elijah Brown) on the roster but I don’t know if he is any better than DW.

It is hard to say if the RB room was any better as both the starter and backup were injured early in game 1. One poster noted that Bonner doesn’t know where to go on the counter plays yet, but he looked better this game.

And yes, the defense has looked good all season so far.

I certainly see the appeal of a mobile qb.  And some of the throws were dimes.  So I supposed why they feel like he’s on his way to greatness.  But on the way there.  And without a great line.  Ouch. Tough spot to be in. Let him develop with losses piling up or go to a more traditional polished qb w less raw talent.

I guess I’ll read up on how and why they went litigious with him.  Wonder if he’ll leave after this year
