ParticipantWas it a dirty hit? Most people think Yes . Did he deserve to be kicked out of the game , well according to the current rules , yes.
THAT IS WHERE IS SHOULD HAVE ENDED.
But NOOOOOOOOO. USC hired a freaking CHICK to be athletic director and no she didn’t bow to the demands that Stephens be shot or at the very least expelled. She decided to kick him out for the Washington game. I am sure the focus group that came up with this never played a down of football in their lives.
You may not like the fact that he celebrated knocking the giraffe necked kid out. It’s still called FREEDOM of SPEECH in America. He didn’t point and taunt. Did he do the hanging sign? NO He just jumped around excited and happy that he thought he helped his team.
Ever hit someone in a contact sport? It’s freaking awesome. The transfer of momentum and the snot bubbles that follow makes all those down ups and liners in the heat of august worth it.
Besides, This is what a head coach with a spine should and would have dealt with behind closed doors. Educate the kid. Isn’t that why he’s in school? lmao. sc

ParticipantThe kid celebrated injury, potentially serious injury. He should never see the football field again.

Participant100% Agree with this SC.
I would address the celebration/injury and that being a misunderstanding by saying DS will reach out to Donte Moore via social media And personally.

ParticipantTotally disagree
If he felt he did nothing wrong why should he apologize in heat of moment. Does he not get a moment of grace to figure shit out. I saw one clip of him leaving sidelines and dappjng up his teammates and folks said he was celebrating. OMG. What are we DOING!?!? He was saying good luck and bring home the Victory.
He may apologize yet. I’m ok with that. Both kids were playing football and tying to win inc QB running down the middle of the field

ParticipantA head coach with a spine would have had one of his assistants escort the thug off the field and into the locker room. That’s one of the points the article in today’s LA Times was talking about.

ParticipantLmao. Stay the fuck out of our biz Lyndsey Clancy head juror. You have ZERO concern for USC Football. Dont pretend otherwise. And I’m ok with it. But dont be a liar.
FWIW that kid was on the “field” for about another 45 seconds. Did he leave “fast” enough for you he who walks on water?!
what about this egregious late hit to the QB? Should this player be escorted off field or straight to jail?
