…wasn’t necessarily the hit on Dante nor what Lanning said in his press conference about recruiting.

It was specifically Trojan players celebrating a first down made by the opposing QB who was already down when hit by the Trojan LBer.

NO reason for a Trojan player to celebrate that.  NONE – except because it knocked out Dante cold and so much so that they had to immobilize him and take him to the hospital.

Totally classless.  And a terrible look for the USC football program.

I totally get sc and Java not being able to understand that, but I would expect you to be able to see the difference there, Pasadena, no?

Good point, bro. Riley sucks and has also created a punk rapper culture that is ironically soft at the same time. Complete POS.

since when did tackle football become a sport where you can’t celebrate big hits on a quarterback running down field?
That’s what was being celebrated. You don’t think Oregon or UCLA players don’t want to hit the crap out of the opposing teams quarterback? And if they do, they wouldn’t pop up and celebrate it?

No one celebrates someone getting hurt or being injured. Why in today’s society do we always want to assume the worst? And yes, knocking someone out Is the goal of the defense. You may not like it. You may not want your quarterback, having to experience it But that is the game.
And that’s why they have padded helmets on.

No one thought Dante wouldn’t be able to finish the game. I was going to be taken off in a stretcher. Everyone thought he got his bell rung. Has that become a crime on the football field?
