      Pasadena, I usually tend to agree with your takes.  This time you are far off base in my opinion. And that’s fine.

      I personally LOL’ed at Lanning’s statement at the end of his press conference.  Totally accurate in relation to Lanning’s 3 years at Oregon and CLR’s 3 years at SC, and totally deserved after USC’s social media blitz attempting to dis Oregon this current recruiting season.  You don’t think that comes with some repercussions?

      We’ve always known this game would have recruiting ramifications for Cali kids, whether Lanning made that quip or not.  Between the 3rd loss in a row to Oregon and the antics of some of your Trojan players after knocking out Dante, it may result in some kids thinking twice about that school over on Exposition Blvd.

      Not my opinion, just facts.  And not something you want for your football program, I don’t think.

        idk. That’s a fair point. Recruiting is war. Dan thought jumping into a pool would give him an edge and maybe it does.

        I think Oregon and our rivalry is far enough way we can coexist in peace. Dans choosing shit talking and war. Thats fine. But usc has a much more storied history then zero U. In almost anything except middle distance running? Do we need to shit on you in a presser after we win. I mean we could…..does it make it right?

        I have higher standards for my coach. Much.
        I have family in Oregon and always cheered for you guys outside of USC game and recruiting battles. No more. F that douche. Beating USC under Riley ain’t much. He’s now 5-25 against top 25 opponents. spiking that ball is Pretty weak sauce and poor sportsmenship.

        I thought it was pretty funny too. Probably unnecessary and doubt it moves the recruiting needle much, but in the context of a heated rivalry and an emotional win, i’d give him a pass.  Lord knows I’d love to have a HC with some fire in his belly in Tucson.

      And usc still outdraws Oregon.

      Lanning talks it because he can’t walk it.  0 NC.  For the school.  And 0 heismans for Lanning.

      Lanning is talking big because he knows the gap is closing and he doesn’t appreciate having the wood laid both directions.
