Not the stupid USC attendance that Pasadena is obsessed with

TCU safety Jacob Fields was arrested for attacking teammate Dozie Ezukanma, punching and kicking him in the head while he was unconscious on the team’s locker-room floor — Ezukanma was hospitalized for three days with a brain bleed and concussion.

Ezukanma was sitting at his locker looking at his phone when Fields allegedly walked up and punched him in the forehead. Teammate Terry Shelton told police that Ezukanma appeared to be knocked unconscious before hitting the floor — and that Fields then pulled his leg back and kicked him in the head “as hard as he could.”

Shelton said he immediately intervened, pushing Fields into the lockers and telling him: “You can’t be doing that. We are teammates.”

Ezukanma later told police he had no memory of the alleged attack. His next memory was sitting in the training room asking people: “What just happened?”

After experiencing a severe headache and ringing in his ears, Ezukanma was taken to the hospital, where an urgent CT scan revealed a brain bleed. He was transferred to the ICU, and a second scan reportedly showed the hematoma had grown before a third showed his condition had stabilized. He remained hospitalized from August 13 through August 16.

The alleged motive makes the situation even more disturbing.

Ezukanma told police he believed Fields attacked him because he had been playing better than Fields in practice. In a text message attributed to Fields and provided to police, Fields allegedly wrote: “I made an emotional decision cause how I felt I played the last few practices.”

Fields also allegedly told Ezukanma: “I’ll pay every hospital bill and then some to make this right.”

Fields was dismissed from the football program following the incident and was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on August 30 on a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and later released on $50,000 bond.

Ezukanma missed TCU’s season opener against North Carolina while recovering from his injuries.

      “I’m” obsessed with.

it’s a national story….I wish I had that kind of pull and I would make it go away. It was a terrible look for my school and USC walked right into it.

this POS “teammate” story is not viral for one reason and it’s not because it’s not USC. If a whitey did this it would be a HUGE story
