Just saw a report on utube.  Source doesn’t know extent of the injury.

      Bad news GT2. Bad news.

Sophomore defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart is apparently on crutches with a foot injury and expected to be out 3-4 weeks.

Remember, Stewart underwent surgery last November for a stress fracture in his foot that bothered him throughout last season.

The question now is whether this is going to be a recurring injury and something to be concerned about even after he returns. He was fighting for a starting job during training camp. That doesn’t matter. What matters is that he gets healthy and the situation with his foot gets resolved.

Bruddah Balls, hope Stewart won’t be another 4* LB, Solomon Tuliaupupu foot fracture.  Thinking it healed, he would practice and play games, but it would get injured again.  His situation would on for like 5 to 6 yrs, until he finally transferred out.  Feet injuries are a bitch and many times career ending…  Cheers

        Bruddah Butkus,

Tuliaupupu was redshirted his freshman season due to a pre-season foot injury.[2] He missed his entire redshirt freshman season due to another pre-season foot injury.[3] He then missed his entire sophomore year due to a year-ending knee surgery.[4] His junior year, he moved from middle linebacker to defensive end and did not see any action.

In 2022, he tallied 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks. After that, he suffered yet another injury in training camp, ending that year for him as well. In 2024, he finally saw the field again, getting 13 tackles, a sack, and a fumble recovery. On March 31, 2025, he transferred to Montana.[5] On February 14th 2026, he was granted a ninth year of NCAA eligibility.

Two years in a row of foot injuries like this with his frame isn’t a good sign.

I mean USC will be fine these 3 games.  And it will give these guys down the chart reps.  Good.  But if Stewart is a main player and already starting like this out of drills then how is he going to hold up against top 10 teams?

Large humans and foot injuries rarely have happy endings.

According to a recent SI report, Stewart is gonna be out for sure 4 weeks and maybe ready for the Oregon’s game.  Even if he returns, he’s gonna be rusty as heck.  Man, it seems someone put a Voodo on him.  Hope he heals well, with full recovery.  USC should not rush his healing time line and rehab.  Best wishes to young Bruddah, J. Stewart…  Cheers
