Participanthmmmmmmmmm who predicted that?
Oh that’s right. ME. And YES. I posted WHY.
Kid is tough as nails, can make all the throws, moves well , cute as a button (per my niece), but dumb as a sack of hammers.
He took a wicked hit and was out for a couple seconds in a freaking preseason game. Sure the block was whiffed but dude, that’s not your blindside. You can’t take that hit. Concussions are cumulative and end with drool bibs.
Absolutely love pulling for all three USC trojans starting in the NFL. Dart makes me watch through my fingers.
ps. also saw some short list that had Troy Aikman as listed as the most overrated NFL player of all time. I didn’t think he was that bad. Handing off the football isn’t as easy as he made it look. sc

ParticipantDamn, we’re doing everything we can to avoid talking about the disaster that is USC Football 2026.
Also, college football players are mercenaries. W2 Employees. Nothing more, nothing less.

ParticipantEli Manning captures the top spot for being the most overrated QB.
BTW isn’t it interesting how Troy Aikman suffered 10 concussions in his 12 year career with the Dallas Cowboys by merely handing off the football.

ParticipantSorry RWC. You’re dead wrong. It’s Aikman
and Eli didn’t hand off to Emmitt behind the greatest OL in history. Eli had a good defense but so did Troy.
and Eli beat TB12 twice with clutch/impossible throws to win. They were prob underdogs in both too.
Eli has two sb MVPs.
Troy has one. And it was game when bills had 9 TOers lol

ParticipantDammit, I have to agree with PT lol. Role reverse them on the other respective team, and the outcomes would be opposite. not sure Aikman would have had a pass caught on the helmet lol

ParticipantIt’s because he was a statue in the pocket and the few times he was pressured he didn’t know what to do about it

ParticipantSo that’s how Aikman suffered all those concussions 🤦 You guys are only half right, but Eli still sucks over a 16 year period. 50% career record 118-118 and led the league in interceptions 3 times 2007, 2010 and 2013. Lucky he had an Elite defense or he wins nothing.
I’ve posted 2 rating services that have Eli Manning #1 as most overrated. Post a link that backs up your claim that Aikman is the #1 O.R. and I’m wrong. P.S., ucla smack doesn’t count.

ParticipantThis list you have includes Joe Namath, Bo Jackson and Terry Bradshaw.
i mean you’ve played yourself sir
Eli also threw for 366 TDs and over 57k yards. INTs come with that. 57k yards is incredible
Eli kept playing because he could. That’s called talent. Lots of young guns wanted his job and he fought them off. Troy flamed out quick.

ParticipantMildly amusing that the link you gave had Aikman as the 4th most overrated. I didn’t know that he only had one year with 20 td’s or more, that’s perrty light. Granted they didn’t have to throw much, but I think that’s kind of the point.
In my opinion Namath was more overrated than both. Yes, he got the major SB win, but dude had a ton of picks. An absolute ton.
