Trey Wright is Committing to Lincoln Riley and not necessarily to USC. In the same way that Caleb Williams committed to Riley and not Oklahoma. This guys tape is INSANE. Think Caleb.

Dat’s a Big Kaboom. Dang, the R services rate him as the 29th QB in N, they FU every year with QB’s.  Yep, after seeing his Soph HL tape, I put him as a top 10 QB and 4.5 stars.  He will be the fastest QB for C.LR 4.42 40 yds and 10.6 100 m.  His arm skills is a 9 & accurate 70% range (awesome).  5-11, but his coach said he will grow some more.

Glad C.LR did not land a QB in 2027, dat must have influenced Trey Wright big time.  But in the end, it was playing and learning under C.LR dat brought him to USC.  Thanxs Mucho Bruddah Balls for the very good news…  Cheers

PS.  Now C.LR and GM Bowden can build around him, getting top Wr’s, RB’s, TE’s and most of all OL.

Is he going to wear heels on the field?  Dude is a dwarf.

He has a couple of years before he gets to campus. I doubt he stays the same height.

Dude won’t even be on campus for two years and they are already clowning on his height? This isn’t Julian Newman we’re talking about.

Bruddah Java, Rivals got the 5-9 when he was a freshman.  247 listed legit 5-11 as a Soph.  Seen his HL tape next to OL and DL and he looks 5-11.   4 podcaster’s said he is 5-11 and 5-9 was his freshman height.  His HS coach said he’s still growing.  3 top HS R websites: 247, MaxPrep, Prep Redzone list TW 5-11…  Cheers

PS.  Dat new video showing casing TW, he looks every bit 5-11.  I am stoked he is gonna be our future QB.

So I’m hearing he’s a legit 5’11” right now.  Decent source.  Supposedly the guy was standing next to him after a 7 on 7 game had ended.  Just passing on why I hope to be accurate info, who knows.  Also, kid is 16 years old.  Have to believe he can grow another 2 inches

Bruddah, it will be interesting to have the centerpiece of our class be from outside California. What will his gravitational pull on California recruits be like? Or does that even matter in the NIL era?

Bruddah Balls, building the 2028 class around a QB like Tre Wright should pull in interest from top FB players (no matter from what state).  C.LR and GM Bowden must show his HL tape to R’s, shoot they would want to play along side him.  Heck, I would.  It’s great dat they secured TW commitment now, it gives them ample time convincing top HS players to join TW for the 2028 class.  Xlent move by GM Bowden and C. LR… Cheers

Not to be negative, but I don’t trust any 2028 signings or LOI’s until they are on campus. Even then, getting them to stick around is easier said than done. I’m still bummed about Longstreet. Looks like a bad move for both parties involved. We lost a QB who to me had major upside and he’s still going to be riding the pine w/ Leavitt’s transfer.

Yeah Bruddah losing Longstreet was a bummer.  But, greed got da best of him and went for more moola.  Hah, he’s gonna have to sit, be a backup in 2026.  Hope everything works out for da kid.  USC will be just fine.  I think Jonas Williams is gonna rip as our QB in 2027.  Can’t wait to see Jonas lead C. LR O.

The NIL Wildwest is killing college sports.  It has created greedy young people.  Loyalty, playing for their dream school is out the window.  Glad there are still kids like King, Kaylon and now Kayne Miller (3 brothers) who took the PWO path to play for their dream school (USC).

        Cheers

Why would it pull that much interest in?  He’s the what  #26 QB in the class?  I mean, is this what we have been waiting for?  Whoooppeeeee

This commitment will elevate his recruitment. We are going to have  2 years of rumors etc.

But we are THE bag  school.

Not worried as long as Riley is at USC.

Howzit Bruddah Brad, good to see you.  Eh, you’re in Las Vegas and Tre Wright is in Texas.  How did your son know about him?  Heck, TW is a low rated QB without much headlines news.  Heck, I did not know anything about T. Wright 7 days ago…  Cheers

Hey brother, good to be back….  Long story short we met the father of one of the USC players from Texas (Dallas area) last year who told me to keep an eye out Wright.  He knows all the QBs in that area from games and passing league tournaments etc.

        Ready for football!!

Bruddah Brad, Ok you guys had inside info.  I’ve known dis for decades, there so many under da radar, 0-3 stars FB players all over the country.  The power schools should not only go for the known 4* to 5* rated players.  Good thing GM Bowden and C. LR kept working after zero QB for the 2027 class.

Dam, dis kid is rated 29th QB by the R services and 3*.  What da hell are these people looking at.  One look at his HL tape shows he is at least a 4* and top 12 QB.  I love dis kid.  We’re getting one hell of a QB.

Oh, how is it going for your son and his R process?  What position does he play?  Don’t be a stranger and share your son’s progress with us…  Cheers

Yeah, this was wright’s first year starting as a varsity QB.  The program knew he was going to be a special player, so there was a lot of buzz in the Dallas area about the kid, so I’m told.  We almost went to a Dallas QB camp this summer, but decided against it.  I know another football dad from the state of Washington who actually attended this camp with his son.  Kid is now committed to Wazzu.  We saw a few FBS committed qb’s this summer and my honest opinion is his son impressed me the most.  Unbelievable arm.  Great anticipation and accuracy.  Even looked better than a kid committed to an ACC program, as well as another player who is a top rated qb in the for 2028 class.  Keep your eye on Ryan Harrington.  Small school, but certainly passed the eye test.  Cheers

Yeah, kid is competing.  Performed well against some good names.   Still has two more years to play.  Needs more size.  It’s gonna be close.   If he doesn’t get more size, he’ll be FCS at best.   Keeping options open.  Letters from several D3 schools for football, bigger schools for baseball.  We’ll see, academics first.

Kid reminds me a lot of Vernon Adams – QB who was crazy good in HS in Mission Hills, even if a little undersized at 5-10.  Added an inch while at Eastern Washington and then transferred to Oregon for his final year  in 2015.

Nothing better or more fun to watch as a fan than a super-mobile QB running around making absolute magic happen from a very tiny platform as he did in Oregon’s single season with him.  Oddly, in Oregon’s game vs Eastern Washington that year, one of his former teammates knocked him out of the game with a late hit (dirty play for sure – I was there), and broke his finger.  His ex-team had it out for him all game long.

Oregon ended that season at 9-4 as he was held out of 2 games due to his finger which I feel my quacks would have won with him playing.  Oh well….

Bottom line, great get re Wright, Trojans!  Interesting to see if his ranking rises significantly by next summer, it should.

Just 10 days ago, Clemson and OU lead for Tre Wright; with TCU and SMU closing.  Now, the top 5 are: Zona, Oregon, SMU, Kentucky and USC.   Just 7 days ago, USC, C. LR and GM Bowden made him a strong, compelling, persuasive offer.  Bingo, today he is projected to be a Trojan.  Dumb for any HS QB passing up being coached and learning the QB trade by C. LR (da Best QB coach in college FB).

Read something by TW dat he wanted to play college ball in his home state, Texas.  And, I thought shoot we’re not getting him.  Man, the R game is very strange with weekly changes by players.   Lone Star HS, Frisco, Texas (suburb of Dallas area) in 2025 final rankings by Maxpreps:  #53 in Nation & #11 Texas.  Lone Star HS is in D-5 a top division in Texas.  TW HS plays top notch teams and the Dallas region is a hot bed for top FB players…  Cheers

PS.  Hah, many thought C.LR was leaning to the TP for a QB?   Dam, he fooled a lot of people and went all in for a low rated, 3* HS QB.

I would not doubt he still will portal a QB.  What are they going to do?  Have 1 QB next season?  Who else they got on the roster?

Jonas is the man in 2027.  Likely 2028.

TP guy should challenge him but if he gets the job, Jonas leaves and USC is back to 1?  Crazy man
