      Here’s what is mind-boggling about Pitt, you have some of the best players to have ever played their position in the NFL (Dorsett, Fitzgerald, Revis, Ditka, Schmidt, Donald) and yet:

      – They have not won a major bowl game since 1982.

      – They have not had a top-10 season since 1982.

      – They have lost at least three games or more since 1982, one of the longest streaks in the country and that includes playing in the Big Least Conference and the All Cupcake Conference. Even Indiana broke that streak in 2024.

      Pitt has won only two major bowl games since 1937. That’s it. Two. The 1977 and 1982 Sugar Bowl.

      They’ve only played in five major bowl games since 1937:
      1976 season – Sugar Bowl  W
      1981 season – Sugar Bowl  W

      1982 season – Cotton Bowl  L

      2004 season – Fiesta Bowl L
      2021 season – Peach Bowl L

      It’s mind-boggling all the talent they’ve had but never able to put it together or catch lightning in a bottle for even one season.

        ESPN has Williams as not making it but Khalil Mack as in. To me that’s a little strange. Not sure if he should get in or not, but he is very under-rated, and was in the middle of his career as well. The thing is he has versatility against both the pass and the run, and tremendous range for an interior DL. I had forgotten Ronnie Lott was in father-in-law. He really was a beast at USC, one of the best defenders we have had in a long time that didn’t play linebacker.

        I think espn is right. Mack is a LOCK.  big cat needs another two seasons and lots of playoff success.

      Good post Bruddah Balls.

      Yep, surprise with Pitt = 11.  Also Illinois = 6, Iowa, Wisconsin, ASU, Virginia = 5, Tulsa = 4.  To me dat’s a lot for these schools.

      Shocked dat these schools small numbers, they should have way more:  Penn St = 6, Florida St, Texas, OU only with 5.  Then UDub and Stanford only with 4.
