      Sam Darnold would be successful in the NFL and win a SB for a USC QB or saying Brock Purdy could play when he was a FR at Iowa State?

      The Darnold call. There was zero evidence in his first 7 NFL seasons to suggest he could manage a team and not self destruct no matter how good his supporting cast was.

        actually disagree. Shocking I know.

        Only because Purdy is 5’11” and was last player drafted in his draft cycle.

        Darnold was anointed the “#1” pick after the Rose Bowl.

        so expectations were night and day between them.

        that means picking Purdy to be successful as a 7th rounder was a bigger reach then Sam.
