I’m against the government forcing people to do anything thru stupid edicts. That said, my EV experience has been eye opening. In 7 years of owning an EV, my car ( Yesla) has never been in for repairs, zero in maintenance, zero in gasoline, $11 dollars cost to get 300 miles of charge. No oil changes, no hoses, no belts, no nothing. Reliable as heck, has never stranded me. I’m not sure why so many people fight this. Plus, incredibly fun cars to drive.
On another note, saw one of the electric VW buses (like a microbus throwback) on the road today in north SD. Intriguing but I wouldn’t put $60+ K into it. NEXT!
BBM: Big Beautiful Measure. Gets rid of an onerous, draconian new law and Newsom has to wear this failure around his neck as he tries for the presidency in 2028.
I posted mandatory electric cars would never happen. Half of Americans don’t even have a garage and charging stations are a joke.
It’s a toy like a golf cart. Just not prActical for most people.
Engines stopping at stop lights is also going away. Trump actually listens to the people. It’s the rats that rhink they always know best but. Actually don’t know jack shit. sc
What’s the purpose of that? Engines stopping at lights? Wouldn’t that burn up starters? And starting an engine requires a fair amount of fuel. Is the idea to save fuel while idling? Is there that much to save?
I run a fleet but don’t have the time to be tracking all this stuff daily
My Crosstrek has that and yes it's tough on starters and my gauge tells me how much fueld I save when the engine stops at stop lights and beleive me it's almost nothing...and let me add the safety factor as I once hit the brakes and the engine turned off in a middle of an intersectio with on coming traffic whe a damn fool made a left hand turn in front of me. The slight delay in restarting and lurching was pretty damn unnerving. You can turn the damn thing ooff but it recalibrates bback to its origjnal stop and go when you park the vehicle...dumbest thing ever..

Newsom is such a chode.
I’m bummed. It would have been fun watching the California citizenry reap the results of their votes.
