for his posts about the President. Give Elon some credit for that since there was no reason for him to do it other than reevaluating his posts and looking at what they stirred up IMHO...

Basically this. The government decided that it is better to just have NASA buy the technology after it was developed privately and profitably rather than waste so much time and money trying to develop it themselves. Prudent move, actually.

You forgot the Fed's going after Space X because they refused to hire illegals...that doesn't sound to me much like the Federal Government wanting to do business with a company they were trying to destroy...let me add there is more to this then just rying to go to the Moon..
