The USC Football program was set on this course when Pat Haden hired Clay Helton. It was extended when Carol Folt told Mike Bohn to keep Clay in the HC role. Donte is the temporary caretaker dealing with deep and longstanding problems that others created. Who envy's him?

You never go hard on your team in public. Doing so makes you look weak. He did what he is supposed to do as the head coach when talking with the media. Behind closed doors I am sure he is livid, but you have to keep the locker room safe from the outside world.

It's not Dante's fault. He doesn't have the experience needed to be a head coach. Hopefully, he'll get there, but he needs to learn under some top head coaches. Looking at his background, other than two years with Cristobal, he hasn't worked under a good coach. Seems like a good guy; would be nice to see him get there someday. Just not next year at SC.

The 25 teams that lost weren't blown out by decidedly inferior competition. Our "defense" was out of position all night, and Slovis makes the same passes, that by now, all the competition knows. This is a no coached team.
