This was a rough game to watch for the most part. I know Chip was trying to be nice to Garbers, but screw that, Dante is the guy.

Chip just needed a little more inspiration than usual

The 62 yard TD to Sturdivant was a thing of beauty as was Moore's long gain to JMS when Moore was forced to scramble out of the pocket. Hardened Steele combined for 152 yards on the ground and Steele also caught a TD pass. RJ Lopez had two big FG's in the 4th quarter including a 47 yarder. Defense was lights out in the 4th quarter getting 2 picks and multiple sacks from Latu. Now, for the not so good. For 3 quarters, it looked like this was CC's game to lose, and like Big Balls said in a previous thread, I did feel like hiding under the bed. I felt certain that UCLA would lose this game. The CB's allowed McCall to lead multiple drives into the red zone until the 4th quarter.. OL is a major work in progress and allowed way too much pressure on the QB's and for the most part didn't allow the RB's much room to operate.. Two of the int's were a direct result of that pressure. 6 offsides penalties had me about to lose my mind. I know Chip likes to use these ooc games as live scrimmages as he doesn't go live much in practice, but UCLA has to play much better than this or it's going to be a long season.

Replacing 3 starters on the O- Line who are now in the NFL was really evident last night. They allowed way too much pressure up the middle.

Pretty obvious who your QB should be. Don't know how good Moore is just yet, just know Garbers isn't the guy.

You have a good football team. Chip is a good coach, but he doesn't look healthy. Have someone check his BP.

I think ucla might be a little better than advertised. Not what ucla fans sold us over the pre season, but what I thought before the start of the season. Still think you drop one or two you should've won, as well as an upset or two. Ya know, the usual. Maybe Chip can put it all together this season. We shal see
