wow, just listened to a Colin Cowherd podcast. Finebaum is one thing. This should get your attention.
How do you fix that?
The guy Cowerd can be a dick, but he a HUGE USC football fan and has been since he was a kid. USC is his college football team.
Now apparently no decent defensive coordinator wants to have anything to do with CLR. But I am sure Jen Cohen can come up with enough money to find somebody , they are all mercenary whores. Currently highest paid DC's get 1.9 million. To beat that in LA , would SC throw 3 or 4 million ? Bet that's what they do.
Can CLR turn this all around? He's a smart guy. Since he isn't going anywhere anytime soon, I certainly hope so.
I still think SC doesn't need a huge name on defense. Just a solid , seasoned, proven DC that's a no nonsense, fundaments and physical. Would be nice if he has a track record of rebuilding a defense before.
Should be interesting to see who takes the money. sc
Most of the 2nd half of the year the players looked like they almost didn't want to give a full effort, especially against UCLA. He may be right.
I think you took that comment out of context. What he was saying was that they don't fear him because he's more about the player and taking good care of them versus intimidating them the way Saban does. I didn't agree with a lot of what they were talking about because you're just poking holes at things. Other than our top recruiter is a DB coach and he's not even a good DB coach. So that needs to change. I knew Ed personally coach O and while he was a good recruiter, he was playing checkers while Other coaches were playing chess when it came to being a head coach in my opinion. So we'll see what happens with recruiting. We'll see what happens with who they bring in as a D as a defensive coach and then we'll go from there but I don't think discount Riley's mind or his ability to win games. He can do that but he has got to learn he's got stuff he hast to learn. We'll see if he does when Pete Carol got to USC. He was a defensive coach with a great offensive coordinator and he decided he wanted the fire that offensive coordinator to make himself look like a full well-rounded coach could go back to the NFL not just a defensive coordinator . And so and Kiffin came in and they treated Norm Ferrari like a Buick. They did not accomplish the things that Norm was able to do but they both had the ability to eventually become head coaches which could not do so. We'll see how Riley evolves is he a quarterback, guru is an offensive coordinator. Is he a full head coach? We'll see .
Everybody relax USC will be fine. The way the scum filth and swine in the Pac 12 put together the second half of our schedule didn't help either. Returning to mean in turnovers sealed our soon. Last year's team was a .500 team on paper but with the plus turnovers and CW we over over produced. We were lucky last year not this year. But the Pac 12 can kiss USC's rear end as far as I'm concerned. Welcome to the irrelevant Little 12, ASU,Arizona , Utah and Colorado. Welcome to the ACC Stanford and Cal. Welcome to oblivion
Oregon State and Wazzu. JMHO.

Cowherd is not a HUGE USC fan. Born and raised on the Washington coast and attended to college at Eastern Washington (roommate of Jim McElwain). He went to many Husky games and listened to the Mariners on his roof to get reception.
I am an acquiatance of Cowherd. My close lifetime friend is a close relative of him and have met up with several times, but being national now, he guards against showing bias.
Can you cite an example of a coach that lost the locker room and then regained it?
Horseshit. People get disgruntled when they lose. It takes time to build a roster. We had nothing when Riley took over. Look at the failed recruiting classes. We were lucky to be competitive down the stretch against those teams. With no bye, we were just out of gas against UcLa. Anyone who has played knows this..
RAH RAH! Hope is not a strategy you moron. If you had ever done anything with your life besides suck from the insurance company tit, you'd know. When a leader loses all respect, he never gets it back. You wouldnt understand. Maybe someone will listen to me next time.
not surprised to hear any of that. IT's time to cut bait. USC is just treading water otherwise. Riley's not coming back if he's lost the lockerroom.
