Where does it end?
We have the top recruit in the nation going to Jackson St.
We have Texas advertising to pay 50k for any OL that signs with UT!
How long before schools/boosters catch on, and have players “walk on”, while the boosters pay the tab? 85 “scholie” players, but 100+ roster with no fodder. LOL, it’s coming.
So you also missed UCLAs BB glory days??? So those dont count either? Since you were 8 years old and all...
It sucks when the recruiting playing field is level, doesn't it?
Well, that’s the direction we’re going. What’s next? A draft? I mean let call it what it is…a minor league.
Im not sure what to expect when the dust settles, but it’s human nature to take a easier route, to get ahead….some are going to fully exploit this, the question is, how far?
At the end of the day, the one that loses is going to be the players. They’ll chase the short term cash, but the ease in which schools can get new players will most certainly push some out. Schools who offer scholies on a yearly basis, not 4 years, are going to be taking advantage of that.
CFB is forever changed, it’s getting further and further away from its original intent.
As you said, it’s big business now.
Never said there weren’t payoffs, don’t put words in my mouth.
This is a completely different issue.
Try again.
yawn, college football is a bidness? really, who knew.
You actually thought any of those apes with backpacks and beach cruisers on campus were actually Stem majors and someone you wold hire to do your taxes someday?
Next you are going to tell me that OJ and Marcus weren't street hoods with long rap sheets from south san francisco and paradise valley san diego. Marcus Steele now works for unicef. uh huh. Malualphabet belonged in college too. Just nice kids.
oh wait, you weren't on campus. so it is new to you. ok. For anyone that lived there, someone like you is just getting a peak behind the curtain. sc
