We're talking Pac-12 refs here, so anything is possible and you "learn" something every day.
I saw quite a few plays in the Alabama/LSU game, and others, where the Pac-12 refs would have called roughing the passer, targeting, or just tackling too hard if SC was offender.
Well, not exactly. The refs are being told to enforce this nonsense, but it's originating elsewhere. The rules need to be made by people who have actually played/coached the game (preferably well), not bureaucrats with god knows what agenda. Maybe living members of the College FB hall of fame need to vote on all recent/future rules changes to have them become enforceable. Food for thought.
just looked it up. YOU CAN NOT HURDLE over a player to block a kick in college football . it's a 15 yard penalty and designed so no one lands on another player , especially the long snapper who were injured.
so once again the pac 12 refs either didn't know the rule , or just screwed up. sc
