St. Saban suddenly wants parity in college football after having his way with the both SEC and the NCAA for almost 15 years
St. Saban now calls for parity in college football a la the NFL "which would be thrilled if all teams went 8-8 during the regular season"
because, now get this:
bama boosters can't keep up with those from USC, Texas, and Texas A&M
this less than a year since he openly bragged that Young was the first college player to make over $1mm in NIL money
and just because we have yet see the effects of this on the field
doesn't mean it isn't happening
precisely. A properly run USC team scares the shit out of the rest of CFB (college athletics in toto actually) and the nzaa. Saban knows he's in trouble if USC gets their shit together.
Alas, with Bohn out, it still remains to be seen if USC is in fact back.
Also, Riley had a lot to correct last year, so it's not his fault, but he does have issues under his control that he's currently not managing very well. This season will foretell the future.
Bama just had a historic recruiting class and is putting together what looks like another #1 class. Pretty sure Saban is not worried about teams that haven’t won anything in many many years.
as I posted at the time. the sec letting in deep pocket Texas and Texas Americans and Mexicans was suicide. sc
