Was Russ actually holding Pete back????
I didn’t watch the Seahawks very much so no expert on RW but have watched Russ without Pete and that has been like watching the Titanic sink.

Pete led Seahawks to Super Bowl with Russell Wilson. They had a good multi-year run....but began to loose players to old age/injury/free agent (Beast Mode, Richard Sherman, etc) and just couldn't keep re-loading....as a mid-tier wealthy team
RW's first 7 or 8 seasons with the Seahawks, he was very effective. Towards the end, it was clear RW was wearing out and what made him successful before, was lacking. It was time to move forward for both parties.
