Nobody does better with transfers than Chip. One step ahead again.

    in WildWest Football Board

Knight, Johnson, Jackson, Kaho are all balling out on defense. Charbonet and Brown on O. Grattan is getting after it in the O-line. Instant impact players. While other schools are tripping over themselves for “4-star” player (75% of whom won’t live up to expectatios), UCLA is scouting the country for balllers like Cam Johnson and Q Knight. Those guys are playing better than just about any 5-star freshman or sophomore, much less 4-star guys. UCLA is leaving 8 or 9 slots open for experienced players to come in and make an instant impact. Chip knows what he’s looking for. Brilliant. Meanwhile he also gets guys like Dulcich who is the Best TE in CFB and nobody other than UCLA spotted him. Chip is ahead of the curve - again.

The big transfer Chip not mentioned here is Joshua Kelly. Obviously a stud RB he found at UC Davis. Thats a good eye on his part there too.

No, I don't think Dulcich was ever a WR at UCLA. When he arrived at UCLA he wasn't much over 200 lbs., and I think he wanted to be a WR, but the staff must've laughed at him and said, "Dude, for a wide receiver you're slower than whale shit sinking in the ocean. You have good hands, so bulk up and learn how to block, then we'll talk about TE." Fortunately for him, he listened.
