I never liked games ending in ties. Trojans always went for two even if it meant losing the game. Ties suck.

Sorry to inform rwc, If that 67 game had not seen Zero Adrusyshin have that extra point blocked by Hayhoe, after OJ went the 63 yards, McKay would have gone for two....and they would have walked in there against the gassed brunes....

I used to see Todd riding his skateboard all around in Newport back when I lived there. Too bad he wasted all that talent.

@rwc1952 it really is a sad story. One of my favorite Todd games is the comeback that fell short due to “the luck of the Irish” in South Bend. A true warrior but drugs will derail anyone.

I went to Rolling Stones concert that night in the Coliseum. Was able to move on pretty quickly that game. Not always the case.

Amen to that. I was a junior. 54 years ago yesterday. I had begun to think SC could never beat Tommy Prothro. Also, my first game with the teddy bear you see in my avatar.

There were other games that were more enjoyable from start to finish -- 2002 and 2011 come to mind -- but for high-level satisfaction, nothing comes close to the 67 game. And I'll always remember the Sunday headline in the Herald Examiner: "Bruins Dial Z for Zero." Great day and night.
