Hmm, don't know the real story with CW and his report that his OC & QB coaches did not watched film with him? Here is a believable report about the film secessions between NFL coaches and QB's. From what I got, the OC & QB coach do watch film with their QB's and discuss things but in limited time. It's up to QB1 to watch more film by himself, study & take good notes of opponents D. That's the NFL protocol and process.
This report discredits CW father qoutes & story. It has other players saying otherwise. This report makes CW story untrue for blaming former coaches for his lack of development. See this report, very interest read. It paints an inauspicious.picture of CW as a Pro QB... Cheers
That report sounds like rubbish to me. Again. I'll repeat CW had three distinct OC's during his rookie season. Watching film under those circumstances with the OC/QB coach would seem to have been helpful in developing a game plan that the QB was going to execute. With no consistency from the OC's since there were three different guys calling plays during the season I can understand why CW might have a few bones to pick on watching film. One other thing I saw no direct quotes from CW complaining about this only indirect quotes from other sources and of course the typical ESPN blowing stuff out of proportion for improved viewership.
Warner took how long to make it in the NFL? Obviously he was a slow learner on his own. I don't take RGII's comment about teaching him to watch film but rather coaches that work with a QB on film study in preparation for the type and tendencies each opposing defense may be planning when they meet. . There is a difference. If Warner had Mike Martz as his OC whereas CW had three different OC's in his first season in the NFL....not sure we are talking apples to apples or apples to oranges on this topic
I’m a little surprised given the level of recruit he was. And 3 years of watching film with Riley that he “doesn’t know how” to watch film. I bet he’s watched a ton of not sure what he should have been seeing that he wasn’t. But all the top nfl teams watched film with him. None had a concern about his intellect or understanding. Riley studied film and is quite smart.
I’m a little lost at both of their comments actually

I didn’t see Caleb making any comments. Just others commenting on him
