It was the gawdy USC Tattoos he got on his chest and leg that let me know he was a few cards short of a full deck. I wonder how those have worked at UGA and other stops? Lots of class....unfortunately "all lower".
Just like Marinovich he was saddled with a nut job for a dad that made him repeat 8th grade leaving all his friends, and then changing high schoo, again leaving all his friends , and then enter college early. again leaving all his friends.
I posted at the time that I didn't think he was a good fit at SC because of his lack of mobility and requiring a great O line like he had at Mater Dei.
I admit I was pissed when he LOST the competition for starter but started anyways at SC because the excuse for a coach at the time promised his DAD the starting job if he enrolled his kid early.
We all saw how that worked out.
Then he transfers to Georgia and actually wins the competition only to lose the job to injury and never got another shot.
Things fell apart at West Virginia when he was pulled for a quarterback that could move late in the season.
We have all seen how the game has changed and a quarterback that can't move well really has no real future playing quarterback anymore.
Now he's at Rice. A school where he's not expected to win, and they are just happy to have him. Great School. Lots of moneyed connections. I read CnD got his undergrad at Georgia in psychology. Hope that comes into some use more than being born in the wrong decade to play quarterback in football.
He was USC's starter asa HS Senior. So the presumption was his ceiling was high
Considering Slovis was a 3 star and JT was the Gatorade POY Nationally and I called it after one whole game? I'd give it a little more than "notthe hardest callto make"
If it was true, i wouldnt have been the only one saying it. I just knew you dont replace a guy who is completing 70% of his passes as Slovis was.

I did my share of picking on ChuckNduck.
Now I just feel sorry for him.

First game is against Sark. I will be pulling for him. Wouldn't that be something!. sc
Actually wrote after Slovis first full game that jt would never see the field again for USC and he didn't
