Jim Leonhard accepts analyst job at Illinois

Has history with Bielema. Maybe becomes a factor if Grinch falls on his face this season. I would think he could land a better job that analyst but much like Kingsbury at USC its a pit stop in the race to something bigger.

Some people might have said that of a guy from Muleshoe Texas whose idea of the big city was Lubbock, Texas. Moving around comes with the job. Money and living in Southern California might attract him like it has done many other mid westerners. You never know.

Riley while at OU was 20 miles from Oklahoma City....not exactly a small town to begin with so the Muleshoe reference has small bearing on it.....Leonard might be attracted to USC but Probably would b more attracted to a HC job...after turning down the Wisky, GB Packers, Florida St as a DC...

Leonard is probably look for a HC position, but Riley should have approached him nonetheless. Putting friendships ahead of the program is what got Pete into trouble after he ran off Chow (and Davis). Riley and grinch need to pull on the big boy pants; this isn't Oklahoma.
