There was a Husky fan named Salty Dawg and I think one more UW fan who posted on the green board, but neither of them have posted since the board change.
The Husky fan mandb posts here on the new forum. Haven't seen a post from Salty since the Ortho green board days....but might have missed some as I'm not here all that often these days either...
BTW if you click on the "Members" button on the upper right it will list out everyone who is a member of the new board. Some names might be changed from before, but it's a start if you wanna know who (potentially) is hanging here.
Yes, mandb is the Husky fan whose handle I couldn't remember. Thanks for the tip on the members button. Looks like we lost Smashmouth unless he has a new handle. Didn't see Tee or Lexo listed either.
Everyone liked the green board better. The only good thing about this board is that it's protected from computer viruses, whereas the green board offered no such protection.
Husky fan here and check the board out here once and a while but not as much as before.
Have been a fan of my team and college football in general since I was a teenager, but things are changing. It started with the BCS and 2 teams 'picked' to play for a title and even though I didn't think it was necessary, it wasn't that big of a deal. Even when the 'playoffs' expanded to 4 teams that were 'picked', it still left out conference champions and thought even less of the process.
But starting with the transfer portal and now the NIL, I am losing interest in the sport. It isn't the same and have other interests that is keeping me busy. Since retiring a couple of years ago, we moved away from the Puget Sound area to a rural community on the WA coast. Even though I still have been going to the games that are now about 4 hours away, I am not sure how much longer I will keep my season tickets of 45 years.
Even then I will still follow the Huskies and and watch on TV but I most likely will not invest nearly as much of my time and effort into it. I am just not as interested in the sport that is turning into NFL Lite.
I feel the same way, but doubt I will ever miss a game.
When I was at SC, I knew a hand full of players that actually were REAL college students. Not A students. But REAL college students that would have gone to college even if they weren't terrific athletes. Even a couple that were engineering majors. Hard to believe, huh. sc
With NIL why make players take educational courses? I think it was you(sc) that once proposed training all day and taking FB only classes for the non-student athletes, which would be most that play. For the players good enough it would better prepare them for NFL work days.
well, Woketard Raisins is finallly happy. sc

I see a lot of the old crowd in the members area. Thanks.
I liked the green turf board because you could see the thread & zero in on a branch of interest. :)

@ATLBRUIN You literally had to wear a condom while on the green board, it was horrible.
@DayStalker LOL!
