Rumor says it's Oregon. How funny would it be if he went to USC? I'm surprised he is in the portal.
If Gabrriel went to USC, your 5* QB in waiting would be gone.
Thats going to happen anyway unless he shows something t Riley...CLR is not going to siround wating for a guy to show something ...simple as that..and it's getting obvious the 5 Star isn't ready or CLR wouldn't be recuitng Portal senior QB's...
Saw where Cam ward has USC as one of the schools he is interested in...thi kid will cost a pretty penny wherever he goes...soe folks think Ohio St is the favorite..
another satisfied OU customer...
can't wait to read the OU vitriol that will be directed his way.
Make then sign a contract when they come: Have to play bowl game if medically ready, or if they leave before, make them pay tuition for all the semesters they were in a program AND make them pay back their NIL.
Not a legally binding one!
yeah, and coaches can break their contracts unilaterally too. Again, the players are the one with skin in the game. The coaches don't, but nobody gave a shit after decades of them doing this very thing.
They can only get away with it because a school doesn't want a coach who doesn't want to be there.
You realize every one of these top transfer announcements. OSU Mc Cord. Gabriel OK. KSU Howard. Forget who else. RUINS their teams chances in the bowl game. All these guys are selfish mercenaries who talk about leading their team and how committed they are to their guys and all that crap. And then they walk out on the whole program that's been supporting them all year or more
Yes. That too.
True. But college football is now an occupation, once the decision was made to pay player's. Unless you are a principal owner with your company. You owe them nothing. They will lay you off in a 2nd if need be. And the players know too, outside the playoffs, Bowl games are meaningless.
The players are wiseing up. For years they have been told your odds of making the NFL are 2%. And then it lasts 4 years. So the better players are looking for as much cash as they can get. And let's be honest. 70% of these kids are dumber than a rock and have no business in college.
This again makes ZERO sense. Guy comes from Central Florida. Lights it up this year for Coach Blowing and Going. WTF is going on?
He did great. Why would he leave? Mc Cord at least has been subject to criticism and his coach apparently has been less than flowing in his praise.
I guess this is why Riley is loathe to even semi criticize a player in public. Thin skinned little Bit*&#$es
Bull. Damage control. Arnold has hardly played.
Jackson Arnold..I posted that he had this kid breathig down his neck as a true frosh
Not at all....kid put up some great numbers when he did play...a 176 QBR and rushed for 78 yards in 20 carries..word ws coming out all season that this kid was killing it in practice and Gabriel ws feeling heat ..this isn't a new story after Gabriel went into the portal...been there all year..
"Arnold participated in the finals of the 2022 Elite 11 quarterback competition and was named the tournament's MVP. Entering his senior year, he was re-rated a five-star recruit. At the conclusion of his senior year at Guyer, Arnold was named the 2022 winner of the Landry Award, given annually to the top high school football player in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Arnold was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year following his senior season."
Mercenary...his next school will be his fourth if you count his limited time at UCLA before he jumped ship to Oklahoma...maybe he never showed up on campus at UCLA sothat might not count...
Gabriel is pretty good. Makes some clutch throws. Ward is more athletic but turns the ball over. For USC's offense I would take Ward. But I like the K State Qb over both Gabriel and Ward.
I thought Dillon would head to Miss St ...he followed Libby to OU after playing for him in his previous school and with Rodgers leaving Miss St who put up big numbers under Leach..
Dillon is very good....
