Curious the thoughts on the new Gang Green Oregon unis, duck fans, opposing fans, let's hear it. I love and dislike parts of it. The use of old Ducks is a very cool part of the marketing behind it, big fan.
I like them, most of all because they are more or less made in the school colors. It doesn't look like the yellow O on the helmets matches the gold numbers and trim on the jerseys. But maybe it's the lighting. In any event, much better than black and midnight green or the eggshell whites.
I will like them even better if you show me the pants are yellow and not green.
Hey, we are fairly proud of what makes Eugene and the Oregon football program so unique in the college football world, after all, Oregon's isn't simply hiking trails and bags of $$$. 😂
You're a smart dude, Brad. I know you get Oregon is marketing football as much if not more to teenaged recruits as to balding, pot-bellied middle-aged white men, yes?
Cutting-edge uniforms and design actually is a really great competitive advantage that is uniquely Oregon's. It won't be the reason a recruit selects Oregon, of course, but it can't hurt - especially when they now see the advantages here under Division Street and NIL due to Oregon's unique relationship with NIKE for them both while at Oregon and afterwards.
Anyway, it's an Oregon thing, just like winning national championships has been a USC thing. 🙂
I get it, but I continue to see middle aged Ore fans talking about the cool uniforms. I just think it’s funny. These are the same 40-50 year olds who wear jerseys on game day. Unless that’s your son or close family member on the field wearing that jersey, I think it’s a no no…. Hey LA, fyi, I have a pretty good athlete in my family who keeps asking about the ducks. Some of the kids on his sports teams love the ducks
I guess they are OK. Not a fan of the ever changing style changes, but I get it, people buy them and the players like them as well. It just feels gimmicky, like the Boise State Blue Field. You know that these are likely designed with patterns and colors that somehow trick the opposing team players or some other covert operation, to each their own. They should make the areas of the jersey where the ball would be held the color of the ball to confuse.
WEar leathers and block and tackle somebody with the ball. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SC had flame helmets a few years ago. I though they sucked. sc
I don't give a shit.
