    Game day at the Coliseum

    in WildWest Football Board

It was a great time. Attendance was appx 55000. it was a nice easy drive from OC, got to MLK and Vermont parking lot at 9 30 am. Very little traffic, the lot attendants asked if we needed extra parking space for tailgating and then directed us to our spot over by where the new soccer stadium is located ( old Sports Arena site). those of you wanting to tailgate, there were plenty of spots and people around the Coliseum. We walked over to the campus but they wouldn’t let us in without the Trojan Health Check thingy on our phones, which we didn’t have. No problem, downlowded the app then and there. It took three minutes and we were on our way to the bookstore. I recommend it. the security check thinned out the crowd in the bookstore. Got my guys their new jerseys for the season in no time, with very few hassles. No cash accepted at the bookstore btw. i walked into the bookstore with a cup containing a beverage, which I deftly and expertly concealed from the security guard at the entrance. I made my way to the 2nd floor before security caught up to me. Bitch was hot too. Guess she spotted me on a security camera. Then to top it off as she is venting about my heinous act , my mask slipped under my nose. Bitch went off about her safety. Fawk. Anyway fawk her and her pronouns, it’s game day. I kept my beverage and kept walking. Picked up some lunch at the food court, not great. I recommend the Ralphs tailgate at the front of the peristyle. Great food, drink, but you cant buy tix there, go to their websites, you will thank me. First class drink, food, snacks.

made our way to our seats in section 105 B row 10 . Security was a breeze, no lines at all 40 minutes before kickoff. Hot as fuck, needless to say. But I have seen hotter. 84 isn’t bad. At least I wasn’t wearing a full band uniform.

Slovis started out 12 of 15 then cooled down. the drakes are as good as advertised. Not sure what you can take away from a game against an overmatched opponent. I liked our commitment to run the ball. Vae look good, his burst in the hole is impressive to watch at field level. Ingram as well. but Barlow might be our best back. Tahj is a big time player. Vanilla offense really, no deep shots, nothing complex. Slovis is really good throwing on the run. Don’t like that he locks into London so much. TE Wolf and #84 had some nice catches, but a fumble too. Defense looked fast, DB’s played well. #27 did not look like a true freshman, led the team in tackles. we have a problem stopping the run game in the middle of this def3nse. #31 should not be playing so much. Dude had 1 tackle and at last 2 missed sacks. Our Oline shows promise. Special teams was solid. Averaged 45 yards per punt, no KO returns, made all 3 field goals. #6 should have had a blocked punt but panicked in the moment. people started leaving early, leaving the area was a breeze. burn the farm!

There were health checks to get into the stadium? Meaning what?

There was much said from the school about no tailgating unless you paid and won the lottery for spaces. Not true?

Friends at the ucla game said no restrictions on tailgating, and no masks in the RB.

No health checks to get into the stadium, the health check was to go on the usc campus. It involved answering an online COVID questionnaire . It was no big hassle. Tailgating was easy and all over the usual areas except on campus. Around the coliseum it was a game day like any of the hundreds I have been to. Parking lots included. No restrictions. Masks required inside the coliseum “ unless actively eati or drinking” which means not required. Same LA County health restrictions at both Coliseum and Rose Bowl.

@BigBallss Thanks. There was much to angst in August about no tailgating on state run lots. My parking was museum roof top, which is a great location. I had to change to a much less desirable location if I wanted to tailgate, this as per many conversations with the Athletic Department. So I did. I missed the SJS game. You tell me that tailgating was business as usual?

@taglcg tailgating was business as usual all around the coliseum, including the areas around the museum and Rose Garden. all the shade areas were taken and others had tents for shade. Even the Ralphs Market tailgate was open. Food trucks parked along the Trojan Walk entry. Inside Campus there was no tailgating at all but the bookstore and food court was open .

Jesus...sounds like the Woke patrol is in full force on campus. I wouldn't download their stupid health check app just to get on campus. What a joke. I'll let you know what the gameday experience is lke at WAZZU in a few weeks. Hopefully I won't have to download a GD health app to walk on campus

LA County is ruled by woketards. Doubt Wazzou will be that crazy.

@art_vandele totally true. sc does that stupid V thing and UCLA claps their hands 8x. Easily the two worst gameday experiences in CFB.

I heard the Grove at Ole Miss has so much effin' talent even you could dry hump a leg or two.
