With Ricks and Jackson. along with the others that decommitted. Donte staying was strategically announced to all the recruits visiting this weekend. Sizzle and steak.
Let Donte hang around for this recruiting season ... then dump him. Nothing from the past 12 years should be left around and no one ever from the Pete Carroll coaching weed.
well, he speaks ebonics. have to have one of those guys on staff, or things get lost in translation. faking guttural grunts, clicks and lip smacking, can only get you so far and will wind up in blown coverages for sure. . sc
Who cares what you think Hickory, Riley knows better than you. Plus, Donte isn't a piss poor anything, otherwise none of his cornerbacks would be in the league. He's only been at USC for two years, with a bunch of players that he didn't recruit. Which he had to make the starters, due to Helton's favoritism. Also, if you actually watched the game and didn't parrot what a bunch of other idiot like to say, you'd know that his freshmen group did pretty dawn well for themselves.
Furthermore, Donte has nothing to do with how bad the culture is at USC, to think that he is asinine.
Bullshet....he recruited Steele from Florida for one...and apparently you are telling me he didn't reruit any DB's to USC. which is total garbage...next you think he coached them up...apparently you never watched them play...I saw little improvement in the corners play..still not covering but rather following the recivers, still not turning to intercept the ball and these kidfs were supposed to be 5 and 4 stars in HS....sure didn't look like it.....and as far as the culture at USC...ya it's woke......how did he handle the separation and infighting on the USC squad on his watch...I don't remember this kind of crud when CEO was interim coach......
My issue mostly is he's created by sticking around issues for putting Riley's staff together as he planned....and suggests what I saw reported that Donte was guaranteed a job by the administration....
I don't think that the disharmony that Donte was in the middle of that I would want any of the troublemakers staying nor do I like the idea that USC keeps a coach since thats when the 5 stars demand. Besides he really is a piss poor corner coach...I saw very little development and he let players continue to play when their antics said hit the pine. Not sure this is a good move for Riley....make him a defensive analyst or something...keeping Donte doesn't sound like a great way to change the culture...besides I'm leaning that this isn't a Riley move but rather the direction from the top...
