I hope he has time to properly develop. I like this pickup a lot, but I would have preferred a transfer with some FBS experience.

Assuming Garbers doesn't get injured, neither he nor Justin Martyn will play this year, then Davis and Martin can battle it out for the starting spot in 2025 assuming Martyn doesn't go into the transfer portal.

That's what a lot of people said about Aidan Chiles. The jury is still out on him, but he showed some promise at Oregon State as a freshman, and I think he's going to develop into a legit FBS quarterback at Michigan State. So twigs can develop into special players. I guess we'll see.

it's not just twigs. it's footwork, and mechanics, but that looked a little better his senior year.

He just doesn't look like a natural at the position. Lousy footwork and mechanics. Who knows with some coaching , but he's already portalled once. Definitely a project. sc
