Wyatt commits from Mater Dei. And Derrick Harmon commits to Ducks. Transfer from Mich St. Harmon good chance to start at NT. At least 2 nd string with playing time .
No having your stars make plays at critical times is the most important. Dawgs did it a lot last season. Couldn't do it against great defense of Michigan.
I know our Trojan friends on here are pretty quiet about this, and kudos to them for that. But I gotta say I'm loving the vitriol coming from many of their buddies on the USC sites right now. Lots of anger towards Oregon, Phil Knight, Lan Danning, etc.
But taking off my green and yellow specs for a sec, I do admit they aren't wrong - college football has turned into a bidding war. And that's not good. For ANY of us. So let's hope that changes soon.
(But, hey, if my "Zeros" can finally shed that moniker and get to "Number One" in the meantime, I won't shed too many feathers about it...) 😉
Ehh, players were getting paid for decades under the table by the big boys while the Ducks played fair and went 2-9 most years. Now paying players is legal. And the Ducks just happen to have a sugar daddy who likes football. Hopefully he leaves a NIL trust fund. Because we know facilities don’t mean munch anymore. All the big programs have nice facilities.
Lol, we knew it was coming. You’re talking about USC fans, not Duck fans. You have a multi billionaire who wants to “invest” in college football. This is perfectly legal now. What are we going to say? If some big money donor from USC stepped up and challenged Phil, we’d be thrilled. Until then, it is what it is. The new rules are a perfect fit for your program.
Poor coaching can ruin talent, but not always, and only to a certain extent. I think the Grinch situation was a little unique. Haven’t heard his defensive philosophy being implemented at front line programs (programs where you can actually get the bigger/stronger players)…. Sometimes I have to laugh just to get past it.
there wasn't even a high school team that would implement his ridiculous defense. It simply does not work. He tried to sell videos. I don't think he sold any. Maybe CLR and Java bought a copy?
I am sure he's a great guy. He has earned a rep as being a pretty good safeties coach. Other than that I just doubt anyone will ever put him in charge of anything ever again. sc
With Billionaire Uncle Phil paying the tab why not.
Dawgs had more guys drafted and most much higher than Duckies. Won last three. Think coaching, player evaluation an develoment matters much?

Dams usually work out better for beavers.
daamn. This would be a huge concern for USC if you guys had a good coach. The LIV Ducks are not playin' around
