@D CLEATER those guys you mentioned raised the funds for the Goux Gate and brought Marv back into the fold after SC had burned the bridge. I don’t know what you’ve done for your alma mater but what I just mentioned was a pretty cool thing.

@San Clemente I wanted Meyer until he screwed himself by being the urban legend that he is - every place he left he did under duress. As to Kelly, I thought he’d been a possibility but personally I think Riley is a far better hire. But you’re right to poke holes - being An armchair qb isn’t tough but I think you bring up good points. Of course I recall your passion for the now fired raider coach aka Chucky and so it’s hard to say you’re spot on with assessments, but time will tell. I know you and I both want the same thing, Trojan football dominance and we’ve both been disappointed too many times. Riley’s a far better hire than anything since Carroll which was more luck than brilliance. By the time he’s done hopefully Riley will be able to hang his hat with the best coaches our school has enjoyed.
