If a coach really wants a player he can give $50k to NIL to be earmarked for the recruit. The money can then be deposited into the recruit's bank account the same day. It could be part of an official visit. All 100% legal. Crazy stuff. A few states have laws regarding HS players but not many.
Official visits are going to become like speaking engagements for top 50 recruits. $50k for a weekend OV and $20k for an UV. A 5-star might get $100-200k for an OV. An in-home visit will be at least $5k.

Gosh...if Uncle Phil weren't around it might explain why Oregon gave that raise to Lanning...but with Nike they really don't need to tap into Lanning's new found income...bottom line they had better jump on that Big 12 offer or get stuck in a conference where they might as well become Boise St. or Nevada...
