When the Clearinghouse has to receive all the NIL deals in place for both 2025 and 2026 to review and decide which ones to accept and which ones to deny.
By the way it is reported the Clearinghouse has software that has an algorithm that will help decide the fate of the kids and schools deals..
How fast will the first lawsuit come when the clearinghouse begins nixing deals?
Some schools are looking at this two distinctly different ways. Some schools are looking at a Cap off $20.5M as the limit a school can spend period. Some other schools are looking at it as the schools need to set aside $20.5M or their part of NIL but outside of school NIL is still wide open with player agents involved with making bigger deals. No one knows how the Clearinghouse wil deal with it other than they supposedly have software that will decide and some believe the size of market will determine good versus bad deals along with booster contributions... and lastly no one knows when these existing deals will be included or not and if there was a cutoff date that moved many recruits up a class to get under the wire.. and the lawsuits will follow since the players were not represented in the decisions in this NIL Deal...
No clue how a salary cap will work without a union collectively bargaining on the cap.
My guess is it will get struck down in the courts. Clearinghouse won’t last.
But if it does, want to guess that kids won’t get under the table deals? Me neither. Especially in the sec.
What could go wrong? 😂
