Bubble screen was great

especially when you had a dude like BMW catching them

Yeah, it's dead against the 7/8 man zone which is why the running game and bubble screens havd opened up. But then we hold or do something stupid and end up in 3rd and long and are dead again. Its a stupid offense.

@Pasadena Trojan Mike Leach had success with it at Texas Tech and WsU.

The key to his offense then was to get rid of the ball right away and tire out defenses.

but like all offenses, defenses eventually figure them out. West coast, run and shoot, read option, spread, triple option, all of them.

If the offense doesn't make adjustments to those adjustments you get coach harrell.

The worst thing I think I ever witnessed was when fat boy hugs tried to add the power running game to the air raid offense. it was a joke.

Going to be nice to just fumigate the place and bring in real coaches. Can't wait to see an open receiver next year. What a concept. A play designed to have an open receiver.

going to take a couple seasons with the help of the transfer portal to bring in some football players . It still comes down to physics and SC is just small, soft and weak now and that has to change. Can't get any worse. It really can't. sc

Yes tent up HH and fumigate. No way we should have a program led by Hugs/Dontae/Graham/Sark. None whatsoever.

Please no more hires from U of North Fing Texas. When we hired him his O had averaged 1.8 to 2.2 passing TDs/game on 37/38 attempts. And then about 1.8 running TDs/game.

Is that good??? Not to me FWIW. Not enough to pluck him for USC.

Norm Chow ran a great offense because it simply took what was available instead of like the air raid, force plays.

Football isn't complicated, and football players aren't the brightest kids on campus. So Chow kept it simple. Really simple.

make the defense PAY for what they are trying to do . run the same play out of different formations , and run different plays out of the same formations.

Norm was a pass to set up the run guy, which pissed off some traditionalists, but it worked.

Since Norm left, USC doesn't even look at what the defense is doing. Runs the same plays with the same personal. Runs the same routs out of the same formations , down and distance. Tries to enforce it's will, with less and less talent every year.

The key to any offense is to take what the defense gives you and keep adjusting.
