Going from a head coach at such a successful program, which of course he helped create, to a position coach? That's strange. Maybe they're hiring him because he will be a successor to Lincoln Riley once Riley screws the pooch so badly that he's assassinated.
Yeah, like most Americans that event in history has always fascinated me.im pretty sure it was a CIA plot in cooperation with the military. Both being upset about JFK refusing to go to war with Russia after the Cuban missile crisis. But maybe that's for a discussion on a thread of its own.
Yeah, I'm a college football junkie. Not really sure it's a good thing. I try to mix in a little MLB, but I always find myself turning my attention to cfb news during innings. I've pretty much lost interest in all other sports (throwing in the towel on USC hoops). I am interested in seeing what our baseball team will do this season.
If you watch the top 10-15 FCS (D1AA) teams, you'll be watching some good football. Those teams have a handful of players who could easily play at the FBS level, even P5 schools. I do enjoying watching the FCS playoffs. I'm sick.
The guy makes around $400k living in Fargo. Living like a King. Probably a 1000 acre ranch. What's he gonna get in South Central? Talk about culture shock.
The good news is he can sell off his snow tires and chains.
lol....not quite sure why you Trojans feel it's so scandalous. I stand by my quote.
If Bo doesn't go down with 3-4 minutes remaining, Oregon goes on to score that final TD and beat the Huskies, and then goes on to win at OSU to secure a spot vs SC in the p12 champ game.
And if USC couldn't get by Utah twice in 2021, including getting crushed in the CCG, yet Oregon beat Utah with Bo literally operating on 1 leg, I don't see how USC beats Oregon (although it would have been theoretically possible...Oregon did fairly easily beat USC this season, so....)
Ergo Oregon goes to the playoffs with a 12-1 record (having only lost to Georgia).
All coulda woulda shoulda, so who the F cares, except that you brought it up. But it's a fairly reasonable take....unless you are a Trojan (or Husky) fan.
"But it's a fairly reasonable take....unless you are a Trojan (or Husky) fan or any other fan that isn't a duck sunshine pumper and who rolls their eyes with all of the 'what ifs' "
He's the type I liked when i was pimping the James madison DC. Little surprised he'd go from Head coach to position coach and not even DC but I do like the concept. This is what ohio State did when they hired tressel.
Yeah,,,, an unbelievable hire! I watch a couple of NDSU fb games every year, mostly their playoff games.,,, a team that plays at a very high level fundamentally.
Can't be. I just read on this site that there would be no changes to the defensive side of the ball. Wash, rinse repeat or sone stupid shit like that. Donte is telling recruits he can't guarantee he will be here next year.
This is better than nice...good to see a hardnosed guy that has put together solid defeses add to this staff...and it's surprising they could get this guy...solid hire if you ask me..

From head coach to position coach? Wow. TBH, sounds like he can boost the new DC. May be a good insurance policy if the new DC isn't ready yet.
This is a good hire!
Really good get. Worked up thru the ranks as a DL, LB position coach. Then a coordinator, then HC.
At NDSU he has had 8 nfl draft picks
That sounds kind of impressive.
onlly shetty thing about all of this...is he left his HC job in the middle of the NCAA playoffs for his team..a dirty deal for the kids....

Why is this a boom? Hes coaching at division 2. He's going to what. Replace Roy manning? One of Lincoln's guys from ok? And he's not even black.
I'm half kidding with the above but also kind of not.
No major college recruiting experience. And you now have two lb coaches. Is there a past connection to lynnn?
a fundamentals grownup with 5 years of DC experience.
much welcome news.
Bet Lynn can't wait to learn from this guy as he continues his growing process as a coach. sc
