Russell Westbrook is 1st player in NBA history

    in WildWest Basketball Board

To record 50 rebounds and assists over a 3 game span! Couldn’t believe that when I saw it but it’s true.

On this board? The posters on this board are just Trojan fans trying to delegitimize anything Bruin, so just laugh at it and be glad you are not them. They won a few games this year, so now they are like the Mighty Ducks Movie, if the team didn't win in the end.

Wrong Isiah Thomas, Genius. Pour some coffee.

Im gonna check out those other players and see if they all played for all Those teams BEFORE or at Age 32. That would be the comp. Make sense rah rah?

Magic Stockton Isiah all played for same team entire career.

Isnt that 3 of 5 On that list? Is that 60%? Is that a lot?

No comments on RW’s HISTORICALLY High usage or low shooting percentages??? For a PG who ”gets” to the basket better than any of them?

Think about after your 3rd cup of Joe.

Funny how you miss the point of comparing to his peer group. Smart.

Those are all individual achievements. And yes being a ball hog helps in that regard. Pretty sure the Goal is to win playoff series not scoring championships.

    Washington is 32-37 This year.

Last night when he broke the all time Triple Double Record what was score of the game?? Did his team win?

BTW RW missed game winning 3 point attempt. Shocker.

Lastly, is the team that signed that super rich contract still paying RW? Why is he on his 3rd team at 32?

To dispel more of your nonsense in regards to RW playing for multiple teams. As far as those peers you mention Peyton played for 5 teams, Nash 3 , Thomas 8 or the other I.T not sure which one you mean played for 3. Only Magic and Stockton started and finished their career with the same team. Russell playing for 3 teams at age 32 isn’t unusual at all except for the fact a guy can still do what he does at his age. Aside from Magic those players you mention couldn’t get to the rim like Westbrook either. Ball hogs usually aren’t assist champions.

Don’t know why I bother but here goes: RW Pac 10 defensive player of the year 08 ,NBA all rookie 09, 9X NBA all star, MVP award 16,17, 9X all NBA team member, 2X SCORING CHAMPION ! in the league 14,15, All star MVP, just passed the great Big O for most career triple doubles in NBA history. Arguably one of the greatest inside outside PG’s in history. They don’t pay losers 41 mil a year at 32 years old to play basketball. Of course you know more than they do LOL.

All 3 are shooting guards not PGs so not sure that helps your argument?

    MJ/Kobe/Steph Below

RW at 18.8 + 3.7 = 22.5 FG attempts a game. That’s historically a TON. And if you shoot a historically low percentage it leads to close losses. Is that the goal of the Game?

RW has Much higher usage than other great PGs. very comparable to SGs tho. Again what does that tell you?

Long story short RW shoots 2 less times a game than MJ did. One less time than Kobe did and one more time than Steph Curry. Getting it???? Ever hear of the term ball dominant?

No what else is different from RW vs those guys? They have rings. Multiple.

    MJ was 22.9 + 1.7 = 24.6

    KObe was 19.5 + 4.1 = 23.6

    Steph is 17.4 + 3.7 = 21.1

Lolol Art. Great line.....”best player in history I don’t want on my team”.

RW is a high usage player. This is also known as a ball hog. He also just happens to miss his shots....a lot. Thats called being a low efficiency

player. maybe worst in history at his position.

Here are some stats vs some

historical greats in his peer group

you should put Kobe, MJ, AI, stats compared to RW... I bet those guys are close to 30% on 3 and on 2 pointers? i don't know but don't be comparing white guys to black guys... white players are generally much smarter

Don't you guys get it......only a trojan is allowed to have an illustrious career in their chosen sport, it is god's way. We are all just lucky to be here to witness such greatness, stand aside, let the chosen through.

Russell is like the best player in history that I wouldn't want on my team... lol. He's most athletic and durable player in history already... How can you get a 3 Double every night and not win titles? crazy. Something is wrong with him... bullyball? I don't know what it is.

Oh boy......oh boy oh boy....water cooler talk on monday. “Did you see Westbrooks rebound on another missed 3 Pointer???? It bounced all the way out to the FT Line and landed in his hands. Oh man that was awesome. you have to see it!!!”

His rebound totals are a result of new heave and ho 3 poInt gameplans. And long rebounds as a result.

Is RW winning???? He RARELY does. That is the goal of the game no??

I thought you were not going to look at my posts before noon. If you live in the pacific time zone you’re still too early. To win a championship it requires having enough talent around you like Troy Aikman had right? Look at Karl Malone and John Stockton teammates for years yet never won a title as great as they were. Would you say they rarely win? I’m assuming your definition of winning are titles right? If not please explain only after 12pm though.

Sharman never had 50 rebounds and 50 assists over 3 games Westbrook made history and that was my point what’s yours? Your reply makes no sense.

@rwc1952 Quoting a Trojan from a previous thread, who argued that Westbrook was not an elite player because he didn't win a free-throw championship nor will he be in the HOF as both a player AND a coach like Sharman, a USC alum, was able to do. Note: Sharman played in the days where heaving the basketball from between ones legs from the free-throw line was all the rage.
