Instead of shooting holes in a 75 year old , I’ll choose to remember Wicks as the greatest college forward of all time, and to play for John Wooden you had to be the ultimate team player. To have a pair of forwards like Wicks and Rowe on the same team is as good as it gets in my book.
While Sidney’s NBA career may not have matched his college accomplishments, he still won rookie of the year, 4X all star, and was recognized as one of the best players in the league with the Blazers, 72 thru 75 until injuries got the best of him. Half that video was true half was BS.
I agree with that assessment except for the part about the greatest college forward of all time...the part aobut his injuries which removed his ability to play his game were true the part about being a bad teamate flys in the face of how he played for Wooden at UCLA. The part about painkillers to even get to play after the injuries was a terrible insight of what the man went through.
Like I said saw the kid in HS and he was something else and he only got better at UCLA.....never forget how he matched up against Jacksonville's Artis Gilmore in the NCAA Championship game..
