Luka’s press conference and Jokic declines his extension with the Nuggets

Not sure it was a discount. I think it was a calculated risk reward gamble. Who was it that was playing for a huge contract not too long ago. Man.

Shaun Livingston? Derrick rose? Walker buhler? I think it was a basketball player. And he was lining up for free agency. Playing out his deal. One year deal. Something. And I want to say he was headed toward one of these 3 year $100 mil deals. Or 6 year $200 mil.

Anyway dude gets hurt badly and instantly. No more market. I think he sat out a year or signed some smaller one year thing and it was obvious when he came back he wasn’t the same. And played out his career as a journeyman and a series of one year deals.

This is killing me to remember who that was.

I think Luka feels this is a massive payday and feels he’s got a lot of miles on that young body. So take it while you can get it
