Yeah, good idea. I think we should close with Treinen, give him a shot. Kenley has been good this year. But as soon as he made a deal about being snubbed for AS game(he was) he goes out and proves the coaches right for not picking him. Two straight blown saves, ugh.
And, Roberts does it again! He could have let Treinen pitch the 9th inning and instead Kenley blows another game. Roberts love affair with Jansen is going to cost the Dodgers a chance at another World Series title.
Treinen comes on in the 8th inning and only needs 8 or 9 pitches to set the Giants down in order, but because the rules say you're supposed to bring in your closer in the 9th inning, Jansen comes in, the first guy gets on base and then he hangs a cutter up in the strike zone and the batter sends it into outer orbit. Why not leave Treinen in and give him the opportunity for a 2 inning save?
