Real estate is for buying not selling, I agree with you there. Buy, Borrow , Die is a strategy I have adopted. Borrow on the real estate and avoid the capital gains . The interest is 100% tax deductible. Thats a nice piece of property in Laguna Beach. At mortgage rates where they are right now the numbers on most deals aren't going to pencil out. Three units on a 3000 square ft lot. No room to add ADU's. Because of location and proximity to the beach, Airbnb might make sense but I don't know enough about that business.
