One friendly report says he neither threw or dropped his medals..but "lobbed" them (?) and it was at the Capitol Bldg and he was very distraught and he got out early because of a unique rule known to few about 3 purple hearts....being a ticket home ..even if an "injury" did not need a band-aid....so he could run for Congress and a whole bunch of guys over there detested him...and he had not had his regular summers in France for a couple of years. He was or wasn't at the VVAW meetings where the declaration to kill certain US politicians was made. He... as usual, supplied the only info that exculpates him. IS his picture with NO SHOWs wood maker, Hanoi Fonda at a meeting real or photoshop. Just prior to losing the race for VP...he quietly sold his estate in France to George Clooney.
