maybe this is a subject you guys have been discussing all along, but i hadn't noticed it.

he's right that the NFL football IS ultra-conservative. was it a good thing to bring a NFL Offensive guy to a college program like USC? maybe he's molded and set in his ways. there's no way Bates is used to having an enormous talent edge over his competition. does he need to learn to take advantage of this???

i never thought of adding a NFL guy to the staff as being a possible negative move. this is an interesting topic.
