he is more like PC... He has the NFL mentality... Bates even admitted as much when he made the call on third and 6 to run the ball, instead of going for the TD... The NFL mentality is a curse for this program... The realists thought having an OC from the No Fun League would be an upgrade.... Not so, just more of a mentality to match PC's ultra conservative offensive philosophy.... Be careful what you wish for... The only way to get this program back on track to NC aspirations is to hire an already established and successful OC on the college level directing a college scheme...
